Prof. Abeeku Brew-Hammond Passes On

It is with great pain and grief that we announce the sudden and untimely demise of our beloved Prof. Abeeku Brew-Hammond. The sad event happened on Monday, March 25, 2013 in London, UK where he had gone for a routine medical review.

Prof. Abeeku Brew-Hammond was the founder and first Executive Director of KITE from inception until 2004 when he left to take up the position of the first Manager for the Global Village Energy Partnership (GVEP) in the UK.

Until his death, Abeeku was an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, KNUST and also doubled as the Director of the Energy Centre (TEC), in the same University.

He is survived by his wife, Aba Brew-Hammond and 3 children – Ebow, Kobby and Rabbie.
